Based on our best selling Carrera hybrid the Carrera Crossfire E takes the strain out of your commute and leaves you with plenty of energy for those weekend rides.

Electric Capability

The Carrera Crossfire E boasts a 417Wh battery with an average range 25-30 miles (max 60 miles)* of riding time on a single charge.

The rear wheel house a hub driven motor capable of providing 60Nm of torque and speeds of up to 15.5mph, the power control is delivered by a cadence sensor which adjusts the power output based on the users cadence.

The centrally located display allows perfect visibility of speed, battery level and current riding mode, this mode can then be changed using the independent remote loacted on the handlebars. 

Range

All electric bikes indicate a maximum mileage range that they can cover on a single battery charge. This is the furthest range in ideal conditions; however, this range can be impacted by a number of factors:

• The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
• The assistance mode selected.
• The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
• Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
• Tyre pressure.
• Wind speed and direction.

Extra Comfort and Grip

Customers told us that features such as saddle comfort were a crucial element of the overall package.

Recognising this, we’ve equipped the Crossfire E bikes with memory foam saddles helping you spend even more time comfortably on the roads and trails. Often overlooked (but nevertheless important as they are one of your contact points) we’ve included more padded grips onto the Crossfire E.

Equally as important are tyres the Crossfire E comes equipped with puncture resistant Kenda tyres, making those commutes stress free.

The sturdy tyre is perfect for off road riding but maintains a fast roll on the road ensuring you never get slowed down when you need speed the most

Better Equipped

Carrera bikes have built a reputation on using market leading brands and this is a trend we don't intend on stopping.

The Carrera Crossfire E features smooth shifting Shimano 9 speed gears with a single chainring on the front allowing for hassle free shifting.

Recognising that increased power needs increased stopping power the Crossfire E boasts Tektro hydraulic brakes with 180mm and to increase comfort even further the Suntour NVX 75mm travel fork is there to iron out any bumps in the road.

Safety First

Choosing an electric bike can be a daunting prospect and the safety around electric bike batteries is often at the forefront of peoples minds. At Halfords we have a rigorous process to ensure these batteries are as safe as can be.

We inspect production facilities to ensure they meet the necessary safety standards, we also ask our manufacturers to run third party tests to guarantee an impartial opinion.

There are a number of UK and European laws regarding the standards that electric bikes must meet. Our batteries comply with international standards EN62133 which specify the requirements of the safe operation of lithium batteries and UN38.3 which certifies the safety of our batteries during transportation.
