Whether you're tackling technical enduro descents, exploring backcountry singletrack, or grinding up demanding climbs, this bike combines Whyte's renowned low centre of gravity design with premium trail components to create an awesome ride that adapts to your ambitions.
Built around a hybrid carbon fibre and alloy construction, the Kado RS offers the perfect balance of strength, weight, and value. The uni-directional carbon front triangle provides stiffness and compliance where you need it most, whilst the robust 6061 alloy swingarm delivers durability and impact resistance in the high-stress rear end. This material combination creates a frame that's both responsive under power and resilient enough for years of hard trail use.
Bosch’s very latest high performance, ultra-responsive fifth generation Performance Line CX motor and battery technologies deliver you Bosch’s most refined, reliable and efficient performance ever. Quieter and lighter than the previous generation, Delivering 85Nm of torque and 600W of peak power that responds intuitively to your pedalling, and with free software updates available from July 2025, this motor can be configured with enhanced settings to unleash an impressive 100Nm of torque and 750W of peak power.
Bosch’s latest motor offers an exceptional all-round blend of power, weight and range. Add in a further improved motor response and smart power delivery, together with even more efficient and lighter battery cells to pack more power in for less weight, and you’ve the power, control, and range to conquer any ride.
The tilted motor configuration allows the battery to sit lower in the frame, creating Whyte's signature low centre of gravity that translates to nimble handling and confident cornering on technical terrain.
The Kado RS comes with the Bosch 800Wh battery fitted as standard, which provides you with maximum capacity for tons of adventure and all-day thrills. If that is insufficient for your epic plans then, for frame sizes of Medium and up, the Kado is compatible with Bosch’s aftermarket ‘PowerMore’ 250Wh range extender, giving you up to 1050Wh of battery capacity! Additionally, every Kado can take both 600Wh and 800Wh batteries so there is the option to buy a 600Wh battery and change out the stock battery for reduced weight on shorter rides or racing.
The charge port is positioned out of the firing line of rear wheel spray and is protected with a weather-proof cover.
Smart connections
With the Bosch Smart System – which links up the Kado’s top-tube controller, battery, and motor via the eBike Flow app – you can have even more information at your fingertips to manage, tailor, and personalise your bike just how you want to get even more from your riding. Tune the motor support levels, keep track of your bike’s performance and battery consumption, plan and navigate routes, and keep your software up to date. You can even use your smartphone as a "digital key" to deactivate the motor for peace of mind. And much, much more.
High-performance suspension
High-quality, high-performance suspension units – with meticulously custom-tuned rear shocks to smooth out the rough. Trail performance comes courtesy of RockShox's proven suspension package, with the robust ZEB Select fork providing 160mm of plush, controlled travel up front. The 38mm stanchions and Charger RC damper deliver the stiffness and precision needed for aggressive riding, whilst the DebonAir spring maintains sensitivity over smaller bumps. At the rear, the custom-tuned Deluxe Select R shock provides 150mm of perfectly balanced travel, with damping characteristics specifically developed to complement the Kado's four-bar suspension design.
Whyte engineer and the 2024 British E-Enduro Series Champion and National Champion, Sam Shucksmith – who won both titles aboard Kado during its development – has channelled his 17 years of racing experience to tune the Kado’s suspension to deliver you the highest level of support, grip, confidence, and control possible right from your first ride.
Switching the linkage from "High" to "Low" will slacken the geometry by 0.6º and lower the bottom bracket by 8mm for a more gravity-friendly handling.
The Kado is also compatible with coil shocks.
Powerful and precise drivetrain
SRAM's cutting-edge Eagle Transmission drivetrain handles shifting duties with impressive reliability and precision. The T-Type system combines the proven durability of mechanical shifting with the robustness of Transmission technology, featuring the Eagle 90 rear derailleur and Eagle 70 shifters working in harmony to offer 12 speeds with the SRAM XS 1270 wide-range 10-52T cassette. This setup provides seamless gear changes even under full motor torque, and the combination of SRAM direct-mount 36T chainring with short Whyte 155mm ISIS cranks offer maximum ground clearance for technical terrain.
Finishing touches
The TranzX +RAD dropper seatpost features size-specific travel lengths – 150mm for Small frames, 170mm for Medium, and 200mm for Large and X-Large – allowing riders to quickly lower their saddle position for technical descents and raise it back up for efficient climbing.
Control and stopping power are aptly provided by SRAM's DB8 Stealth four-piston brakes, providing powerful and progressive braking performance across varied conditions. The 220mm front and 200mm rear rotors offer plenty of heat dissipation for sustained descents, whilst the ergonomic brake levers include reach adjustment to suit different hand sizes and riding preferences.
Rolling on 29" wheels front and rear, the Kado RS benefits from trail-smoothing wheel diameter that maintains momentum over technical terrain to give you a speed and control advantage across any trail.
However, if you prefer the mixed sizes of a "mullet" setup then you can swap the rear wheel size by adjusting the bike's "Shape. It" link to go from full 29er front & rear to mixed MX for a 29in front and 27.5in rear. All Kado bikes are ready to convert to a MX set-up so you can tailor your ride exactly how you want it – and all without affecting the geometry or the suspension kinematics. Just put your Shape. It link into the high position (62mm) together with a suitable ASTM/EN17406 rated rear wheel (category 4, enduro) laced with an e-bike rated rear hub.
The WTB rims are shod with Maxxis tyres, featuring an Assegai WT 120 TPI up front with 3C MaxxGrip Dual Compound and EXO+ sidewall protection, and paired with a Minion DHR II WT 120 TPI rear tyre sporting 3C MaxxTerra Dual Compound and DoubleDown casing. This aggressive Maxxis tyre combination delivers the grip and durability needed for serious trail riding while providing different characteristics front and rear to optimise traction and rolling efficiency.
Lifetime frame + pivot bearing warranties
If you register your bike for free with Whyte within 28 days of purchase, they will back every Kado with a lifetime extended warranty against materials and manufacturing defects on all frames for the original owner, a lifetime warranty on all suspension pivot bearings together with a one-year warranty on parts, and a one-year cosmetic warranty on paint and decals.
Designed to perform, made to last
For Whyte, making bikes that ride and perform exceptionally so you can have your best ride, every ride, is only part of the story. Another is engineering them to continue to keep doing that flawlessly ride after ride, and year after year no matter how hard you push them or what conditions you ride through – good, bad, or atrocious.
To do that, they pay as much attention to all the small details as they do the big to ensure the bike performs perfectly through every pump and pedal stroke. Everything from sweating the fine details of geometry and component selection to give you the perfect balance of performance and reliability, all the way to phosphate-coated and marine-grease packed bearings, fully sealed cable ports, masses of mud clearances, and many more.
The best British design, built to perform, engineered to last, award-winning handling, and proven through the worst conditions. That’s the Whyte difference.
