The Carrera Impel im-1 features a fully integrated 367 Wh battery allowing for an average range of 20 - 25 miles* (max 50 miles) on a single charge. The rear hub motor is powered by a built in torque sensor ensuring you get assistance from the very first stroke of the pedal.

Three different levels of assistance mean you'll always have the power you need, these modes are visible via a built in LED display on the handlebars. To take your ride to the next level the Impel im-1 comes complete with bluetooth connectivity which can be paired to the smartphone app, this allows you to view all your ride stats.

The motor also features a built-in torque sensor that ensures the motor turns on automatically as soon as you start pedalling – so you’ll get dependable assistance from your first pedal stroke.

Range

All electric bikes indicate a maximum mileage range that they can cover on a single battery charge. This is the furthest range in ideal conditions; however, this range can be impacted by a number of factors:

• The combined weight of the rider and any luggage.
• The assistance mode selected.
• The cycling route (e.g. type of terrain and inclines).
• Temperature and climate (e.g. cold weather will decrease the performance of the battery).
• Tyre pressure.
• Wind speed and direction.

Powerful battery and motor

The impel im-1 is the complete package, providing comfort, versatility and, just as importantly, performance!

This performance is delivered by a high capacity 367Wh battery and a powerful rear hub Hyena motor. The battery is fully integrated into the frame for a sleek look and improved weight distribution, and can power you for up to 50 miles on a single charge.* Then, at the simple turn of a key, you can remove the battery and charge it away from the bike between rides.

Providing the assistance is the Hyena 250W motor which is seamlessly integrated into the rear wheel for improved traction and controlled handling. This performance motor also boasts an impressive 45NM of torque.

And just as impressively, the motor’s torque sensor will seamlessly adjust the power output in response to your input, providing a natural ride feel.

*The maximum range will depend on the capacity of the battery, rider and luggage weight, power mode setting and riding style.

Multiple levels of assistance

With three different speed modes and a walking assist mode, you’ll always receive the level of assistance you need.

The assistance level can be easily controlled via an LED display on the handlebars, and the screen also displays key information including speed and battery level. With the addition of Bluetooth connectivity, you can also unlock additional features on the smartphone app, such as ride metrics, battery charge and health status and details for any error codes.
