But other times, you might want – or need – more. That’s where the all-new 12-speed comes in. Just like the bike, Brompton’s 12-speed gear system is unique. Expertly engineered a solution that gives you more gears and more range while still fitting into a compact solution to life on two wheels.

Go from A to B or even A to Z

Daily journeys or a weekend adventuring? With the Brompton Electric 44 mile range you can go where you need. At speeds of up to 15 mph. The compact 250-kWh hub motor does the hard work for you. Choose from three levels of smart pedal assist. Start your ride. And feel the torque. The fine-tuned sensor in the bottom bracket knows exactly when to kick in (smoothly). So you can breeze up hills and cruise the flats.

Charge on the go

The compact Brompton Electric 300wh lithium-ion battery packs in the power. And when it comes to charging, it’s as easy as plugging in your phone. Remove the battery pack (2.89kg including bag) with one quick click. Plug into any regular socket. Fully charge in 4 hours. Boost for less if you’re short on time.

Choose from Mid or High Handlebar Type

2 types offer different riding positions for varying heights of rider and styles of riding:

• Mid: Brompton's classic handlebar shape, which for most riders provides an all-round, neutral position. Shorter riders will find this offers a more upright, leisurely position and taller riders will find this still gives a slightly sporty position.
• High: Brompton's classic handlebar shape, at an elevated height (6 cm higher in the bike stem). Taller riders will find this offers a more neutral position and anyone shorter will feel close to upright, similar in style to a traditional Dutch bike.

Information on Seatpost Length

The Electric Bike Shop offers the Standard post (comes fitted to mid handlebar models) and extended post (comes fitted to high handlebar models) on our bikes, however the telescopic post is available to purchase separately:

• Standard: Suitable for those with an inside leg measurement of 33 inches / 84 cm maximum.
• Extended: 2.5 inches / 60mm longer than the standard. This seatpost option does leave the saddle higher when the bike is folded and therefore the below option may suit you if you wish to keep the bike as small as possible when folded.
• Telescopic: Designed for those with an inside leg greater than 35 inches / 89cm.
