Estarli's E20.9 X-Country Folder breaks new ground as their first off-road capable folding e-bike, combining the convenience of compact storage with genuine trail-riding capability. This isn't just another urban folder – it's designed for riders who want the flexibility to tackle everything from city commutes to countryside adventures, all whilst maintaining the practicality that makes folding bikes so appealing.

The bike's adventurous spirit is immediately apparent in its chunky off-road tyres, available in either Maxxis Creepy Crawler or Schwalbe GS-One Pro options. These substantial treads provide the grip and confidence needed for loose surfaces, gravel paths, and light trail riding, whilst still rolling smoothly on tarmac. This versatility means you can ride to the countryside, or fold the bike to transport it in your car, and then continue exploring trails that would challenge conventional folders.

The 250W drive unit of the E20.9 is Estarli's own ECS1.09C rear hub motor, delivering a robust 50Nm of torque for pedal assistance. This motor provides the climbing power needed for moderate off-road inclines, such as a steep bridleway or a technical forest track, whilst maintaining the refined, quiet operation that makes urban riding pleasant.

Powering the E20.9 is a 252Wh battery which offers a range of up to 32 miles / 50km, providing plenty of capacity for exploring beyond the beaten track and enjoying a full day of adventures, depending on weight load and riding conditions. The battery charges efficiently within just 3.5 hours, making it practical for regular use, and the compact colour display keeps you informed of power levels and assistance modes without cluttering the clean cockpit design.

When it comes to gears, Shimano Cues is well known for being reliable with smooth, precise shifting. The 9-speed drivetrain represents a thoughtful upgrade over typical folding bike gearing, offering the wide range needed to tackle varied terrain with confidence. The 48T chainring paired with an 11-36T cassette provides both the low gears for steep climbs and the high ratios for efficient cruising.

No corners were cut on braking either. The E20.9 is fitted with Tektro hydraulic disc brakes featuring a flat-mount design and providing the consistent, powerful braking performance essential for sporty riding in both urban and off-road situations.

The 6061 aluminium frame construction balances strength with weight, creating a folder that's robust enough for trail use whilst remaining portable and manageable for carrying and stashing for transport. The rigid aluminium fork keeps weight down and the XC riser handlebars offer a comfortable riding position that works equally well for urban navigation and trail exploration.

This bike accommodates riders from 152-195cm in height and supports a maximum rider weight of 115kg, making it accessible to a wide range of users.

Available in a striking range of colours including Racing Green, Bronze, UFO Silver, Sage Green, and Slate Grey, the E20.9 makes a distinctive statement wherever your adventures take you.
